L{O}VE

I love this sculpture in New York City by Robert Indiana.  It was kind of my inspiration in a way for my newest Valentine's Day decoration.

This was so super-duper-simple!

All you do is take these cardboard letters and paint them.

I used hot glue to secure them together and voila!  Valentine's Day Sculpture Decor!

I participate in the link parties found here.

One of the things I loved about this project was researching it because the first time I saw it was not in NY. So I wanted to research the origins of the art and found out that the original "LOVE" scupture was done in NY. (I used the NY sculpture image on my blog too since that was the first sculpture.)

However, the same sculpture has been replicated MANY times and appears in many cities all over the US, in art gardens at museums and even on some college campuses! It is actually kind of crazy how many places it has been seen! It can be found in soooo many cities!

I did not know that there was one in Philly though. So THANK YOU so much for the information and next time I am in Philly I will have to look for the sculpture there! :)

I always love learning new things like this! And am so grateful for my followers who always have so much knowledge and information to share!

Are there any other cities or locations you have seen this sculpture? I know of about a half a dozen...but would love to know of more!
